■複合関係詞
You can take whichever seat you like.
複合関係形容詞(次に名詞を伴う)
whicheverがseatを修飾している
形容詞として使えるのは、whichever/whateverの2つのみ

You can choose whatever you like.
複合関係代名詞(目的格/主格)
whatever = anything that
whatever/whichever/whoever(whomever…述語で使うと形が変わる)
※whenever/whereverは副詞になる

Whatever you like is yours.

It will lead you to the same result, whichever way you take.
The teacher will provide, whatever help you need.
Choose whichever book from the shelf.
Whatever evaluation others make, you have to be strong.

I don’t believe whatever he says.
My mother will do whatever she can to help me.

※ニュアンスの違い: be not able to…できないかも…/can not…できるのにしなかった

until S + V
untilの場合は後ろに主語述語で複文を持ってこられる
until she finishesなど
by 名詞
byの場合は後ろは名詞のみ
ただしby the time she finishesのように名詞の後に関係文を続けることは可能

The shop is open until 10 p.m. on Saturdays.
※能動態にしろ受動態にしろ openを 動詞としてつかうと開ける行為になってしまうため、形容詞として使うこと
※毎週土曜日は…なのでSaturdaysと複数形にすること
We have to go out by 10 p.m.
I was so tired that I slept [kept sleeping] until 2 p.m.
※untilを使えばそれだけで「~までずっと~し続ける」というニュアンスが含まれるので無理に進行形を使う必要はない
