A. 分詞構文<1>…過去分詞を用いる場合
- Shocked to hear the bad news, my mother suddenly began crying.
(= My mother was shocked to hear the bad news, so she suddenly began crying.) - The route, covered in stages, climbs over France’s toughest mountains.
- Injured, the soccer player continued to play.
- Not seen off by anyone, Aiko flew from Narita.
B. 命令形 + and[or]
- Love others, and you will be loved by them.
(=If you love others, you will be loved by them.) - Lose too much time, and you are out of the Tour.
- Hurry up, or you will miss the train.
(=If you do not hurry up, you will miss the train.)
