2. 不定詞の否定形
   a. Mr. Smith told me not to call him in the morning.
   cf. Mr Smith did not tell me to call him in the morning.
   b. The mother whale tried to teach her baby not to mistake a ship for her.
   c. I decided never to eat after nine o’clock in the evening.
3. 過去分詞の形容詞的用法
   a. Many people came to our town to see the displayed dolls.
   b. They tried to save 3,000 whales caught in a narrow strait near the Bering Sea.
